An interpretation of the Birth of Venus. In stark contrast to Botticelli's painting, Venus has become a twisted ungainly figure, her graceful outline and soft complexion is now dominated by heavy lines, giving a sense of weight and foreboding, a feeling enhances by the stormy sky and a sea simmering with aggression.
